Maintenance Planner / Production Planner

Due to rapid business growth, a newly created role is available for an experienced Maintenance Planner / Production Planner who has a strong background in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new project with strong environmental benefits from inception.

Our Company

Orthios is focused on regenerative development with a wide expertise in waste recycling, plastic waste processing, electrical and mechanical engineering, logistic, construction and project delivery. Our objective is to deliver local solutions for climate challenges by recycling and converting non-recyclable material into added value products and green energy.

We are an ambitious company, developing an Eco Park in Holyhead, North Wales, that is focused on delivering Green Technologies to international markets whilst creating quality employment opportunities. Our first major projects based on the Holyhead site focus on the introduction of the Polymer Processing Facility, and the Material Recovery Facility which will, through pyrolysis, convert plastics previously judged non-recyclable to oil.

The Role – Maintenance Planner / Production Planner

As a Maintenance / Production Planner, you will report to the Plastics to Oil Manager and take on a key role within that department where your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Coordinating production / maintenance workflow
  • Planning and prioritising maintenance operations
  • Determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed
  • Addressing issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Monitoring jobs to track actual resources used / output information, updating schedules to reflect changing requirements and improve processes 
  • Managing a “dashboard” displaying planned vs actual statistics
  • Preparing status and performance reports for Operations

You will be working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm from our new state of the art Plastics to Oil facility in Holyhead.

Our Requirements – Maintenance Planner / Production Planner

  • Experience gained as a Planner / Scheduler or similar, ideally gained within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Computer savvy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Planning and Scheduling software
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Superb numerical and communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solutions-focused, superb organisation skills, with excellent attention to detail
