Financial Controller

What will this role of Financial Controller entail?

Supporting multiple companies within the Group including Armac Demolition and Armac Environmental, as the Financial Controller your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Completing bookkeeping and producing management accounts from Sage Line 50 for the three companies and pension scheme
  • Processing the monthly payroll
  • Submitting monthly Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) submissions and sending CIS monthly statements to sub-contractors
  • Credit card posting, bank reconciliations and submitting online payments
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns and CITB levy forms
  • Taking responsibility for company insurances
  • Reconciling monthly valuations prepared by the Commercial Department to Sage, liaising regarding payment and submitting contract invoices to clients
  • Preparing full accounts for audits utilising CHH software, audit pack for auditors, corporation tax returns and liaising with company auditors
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and P11D forms

What will I need to be considered for this Financial Controller role?

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably gained within the construction industry
  • Proficient in the use of Sage Line 50, and ideally with the CIS
  • Qualified to at least AAT Technician level or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional manner
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (due to location as no public transport routes are available).

What will I receive in return?

As a Financial Controller, you’ll receive a salary in the region of £30,000 to £35,000, level dependent on experience, plus a pension scheme and private healthcare.

You’ll be working from our head office in Meriden, West Midlands (between Birmingham and Coventry), and employed on a permanent contract working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
