IT SharePoint Developer

Due to significant growth, the IT team at Luxfer MEL Technologies is rapidly expanding. You’ll bring a hunger to succeed, an innovative approach to software development, and your solid experience designing and implementing websites using SharePoint, to drive change and ensure our systems meet the requirements of the business as it grows.

Our Company

Luxfer MEL Technologies is a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of Magnesium and Zirconium based products and services to technology industries worldwide. We have approximately 300 employees across the UK & US.

Zirconium chemicals are produced at the Swinton & Flemington NJ sites from a range of raw materials to service multiple niche markets including, automotive, refinery, biomass, coatings, pharmaceutical and military / defence. Our lightweight magnesium alloys are machined or extruded to custom shapes and specifications to meet our customer requirements, and are used in high performance, safety critical aerospace, defence, healthcare, oil and gas and Formula 1.

The Role – IT SharePoint Developer

Reporting to the IT Manager, as IT SharePoint Developer you will focus on the design, implementation, and management of SharePoint as a central repository and reporting platform for the business. You’ll help integrate this with all other business systems to streamline our IT systems and processes.

Your duties will involve, although will not be limited to:

  • Designing, implementing and maintaining our SharePoint platform
  • Developing an integrated approach with internal and external systems to ensure data clarity and dashboards
  • Liaising with business stakeholders and providing technical solutions, from concept to completion
  • Providing support and technical leadership to onsite IT resources
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Supporting auditing requirements, collating reports and evidence, and interacting with third party stake holders and internal / external auditors

Our Requirements – IT SharePoint Developer

You will have a strong focus and knowledge of Microsoft technologies, system languages and tools required to develop our systems to first class standards, ensuring business continuity, performance, and productivity, alongside:

  • Solid experience working with SharePoint designing, configurating, implementing, and managing websites and programmes using SQL scripting, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with IT systems integration and application programming interfaces (APIs)
  • Excellent in-depth knowledge of Microsoft / PowerShell / C# / JavaScript and .NET systems
  • Proven experience in the development of IT projects from concept to completion, whilst working closely with internal stakeholders
  • Superb time-management skills and an adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently using initiative

As an IT SharePoint Developer based at our site in Swinton (Greater Manchester), you will benefit from:

  • Permanent contract
  • Salary in the region of £45,000 to £55,000, with the level dependent on qualifications and experience
