Production Operator

As a Production Operator at Luxfer Gas Cylinders, you’ll receive a salary of circa £19,010 per annum, dependent on experience, plus £3,037 shift allowance and regular overtime, paid at 1.5x the basic hourly rate.

You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, excellent pension, quarterly bonus scheme, free car parking, 3 x base salary life insurance and many more perks.

You’ll be part of an ambitious company that will invest in your future, and be employed on a permanent contract, working full time hours on number of shift patterns including;

Shifts are as follows:

  • Shift pattern 1: 6am to 2pm
  • Shift pattern 2: 10pm to 6am
  • Shift pattern 3: 2pm to 10pm

We also have weekend shifts available working;

  • Weekend Days: 6am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday plus one 7.5-hour shift during the week every two weeks

Or

  • Weekend Nights: 6pm to 6am Saturday and Sunday plus one 7.5-hour shift during the week every two weeks

What will this Production Operator vacancy entail?

Reporting to one of our Shift Managers, as a Production Operator you will be trained to safely operate various machines involved in the manufacture of high-pressure gas cylinders used for a variety of applications.

Safety is critical in this role, and it will be your responsibility to report any concerns, non-compliance or issues with machinery to the appropriate colleague.

You’ll work from our manufacturing site in Colwick, Nottingham.

What will I need to be considered for this Production Operator vacancy?

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to carry out manufacturing quality process checks
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Ability to extract information from technical drawings and specifications
  • Good time keeping and the ability to work well under pressure

Please note, whilst Luxfer Gas Cylinders is an equal opportunities employer, this Production Operator role requires regular manual handling of cylinders and therefore the successful applicants will need to be physically fit to meet the demands of the role.

Flexibility towards working hours is essential as a reasonable amount of overtime is expected when required.
