Family Solicitor / Legal Executive – Join one of North Wales’ largest law firms

Gamlins Law is North Wales’ leading law firm for commercial and personal legal services. Our 75-strong team operates from 6 offices across the region, and we see ourselves as trusted advisors to all our corporate and private clients. We have a large family department, specialising in all areas of family law.  

What will this role of Family Solicitor / Legal Executive entail?

Reporting to the Head of Family, as a Family Solicitor you’ll hit the ground running within a strong and busy team of 7 fee earners.

You’ll manage your own caseload, which will be built upon as you progress within the role. You will deal with matters from initial enquiry, processing public funding assessments and applications and overseeing matters through to conclusion.

There is a varied workload with this role, which will include dealing with domestic violence, injunction proceedings and all aspects of Children Act proceedings, whether privately and publicly funded.

What will I need in order to be considered for this Family Solicitor / Legal Executive role?

  • Be a qualified Family Solicitor or CILEx qualified, with experience of dealing with all aspects of private Children Act proceedings and injunction proceedings, both privately and publicly funded
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritising workload well
  • Advocacy experience is essential

You will work from the company offices in Rhyl, North Wales (with travel to the Holywell and Mold offices) and will be employed on a permanent contract. Full time hours are available working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however requests for part time hours will be considered.
