Our Company

Gladman Developments are a well-respected and established strategic land promoter based in Congleton, Cheshire. We use our expertise to partner with landowners to help them to realise the true potential of their land through its development for residential or residential led mixed-use development. 

We were recently acquired by Barratt Developments Plc, the nation’s leading housebuilder. You’ll join our expanding Finance team as we transition our processes and systems in line with Barratt Developments, making this an exciting time to join our business. The Role – Management Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Manager at Gladman Developments, the purpose of your role will be to provide high quality financial accounting, reporting and business partnering support, while regularly keeping contact with stakeholders. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and forecasts
  • Developing and preparing high quality reports
  • Producing monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns
  • Managing staff expenses processes, including corporate credit card
  • Completing bank and cash flow reconciliations
  • Liaising with Project Managers to monitor costs against forecasts and budgets

Our Requirements – Management Accountant

  • Part-qualified Accountant or finalist (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Excellent computer skills, with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Superb interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills
  • Team player, with a self-disciplined approach and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with high level of attention to detail

The Package

  • Salary in the region of £35,000 to £39,000 with the starting level depending on experience, plus annual bonus equivalent to 10% of salary
  • Permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week with flexibility available around start and finish times. Core hours are between 10am and 3pm, with 2pm finishes on Fridays
  • Option to work from home up to 3 days per week, combined with working from our offices in Congleton (Cheshire)
