The Integrated Control and Safety Systems Engineer (ICSS) role

As an Integrated Control and Safety Systems Engineer, you will provide first class support whilst being the technical focal point from the initial handover by the Sales team, to the closing stages of projects. For each project, your remit will include:

• Project initiation system design, project planning and SIL classification
• Taking care of the safety lifecycle configuration process
• Providing technical specification to procurement and supervising suppliers
• Modifying existing safety systems and carrying out impact analysis
• Conducting internal testing procedures
• Executing and leading factory and site acceptance tests, taking responsibility for the transition of projects to site and managing site installation
• Monitoring and controlling quality of work
• Completing all necessary documents and formalising project closures

The Package

As an Integrated Control and Safety Systems Engineer (ICSS), you’ll benefit from:

• A salary up to £45,000 with the level dependent on experience, plus overtime / TOIL where relevant

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract working Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, and Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Flexibility will be required to meet customer and business needs.

You will be based at our Runcorn offices, however there will be travel to customer sites across the UK, offshore and overseas as required for each project.

Requirements for this Integrated Control and Safety Systems Engineer (ICSS) vacancy

• Proven experience within a similar role, gained within the oil and gas / petrochemical industry
• Hold a TUV Functional Safety Certificate, or have sufficient knowledge of
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, Health and Safety at Work
• Confident communicator with a professional manner
• Positive self-starter with a drive to achieve results, while maintaining quality and standards
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Although not essential, a HNC qualification within an engineering or process related subject would be highly advantageous.
