Technical Support Engineer (Electronics)

IQD Frequency Products Ltd has been providing electronic components for time and frequency control for over 45 years. We are based in the UK but support customers across the world. Four years ago, IQD became part of the Wurth eiSos group who supply a large range of electronic components. The eiSos group includes more than 7,300 employees and has an active sales team based in every country in the world.

The Role – Technical Support Engineer (Electronics)

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will join a small, highly experienced team based at our Crewkerne (Somerset) office. You’ll bring your existing understanding of electronics and be provided with in-depth training that will enable you to contribute to this key role.

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Supporting colleagues within Sales and Business Development teams on applications / technical issues
  • Responding to all internal and external enquiries in a timely manner
  • Creating and maintaining records in the technical data base of product specifications
  • Ensuring all actions referring to customers are effectively communicated to all relevant personnel
  • Staying informed of changes in the industry and how they affect IQD‘s products and customers

The Package

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll benefit from:

  • A permanent contract, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm

Our Requirements - Technical Support Engineer (Electronics)

  • Knowledge of electronics, either gained through an electronics or engineering qualification or proven experience within a similar role
  • Highly organised and very effective time management skills

Although not essential, experience gained providing technical customer support would be highly advantageous.
