Training Coordinator (L&D Coordinator)

Luxfer MEL Technologies is a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of Magnesium and Zirconium based products and services to technology industries worldwide. The Role – Training Coordinator (L&D Coordinator)

Reporting to the HR Manager and working within a HR team, as the Training Coordinator you will provide dedicated support on Learning and Development. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Supporting multiple areas within the business, arranging training both on and offsite
  • Providing advice and guidance for training queries and requests from employees, management, and external parties
  • Working with key internal stakeholders to ensure accurate skills matrices are maintained and training occurs when needed
  • Collating the talent information and development needs from reviews and, with the HR Manager, formulate a training ‘road map’ for the coming year
  • Ensuring appropriate and on time information is provided to the relevant people
  • Maintaining and being a subject matter expert for our digital learning platform Percipio
  • Assisting the HR Manager with apprentice and graduate cohorts

The Package – Training Coordinator (L&D Coordinator)

As a Training Coordinator, you will join the team based within our Swinton office in Greater Manchester, and you will benefit from:

  • Salary in the region of £25,000 to £30,000 with the starting level dependent on experience
  • Generous bonus scheme
  • Permanent contract, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Our Requirements – Training Coordinator (L&D Coordinator)

  • Either have experience gained in a similar Learning and Development and / or Training Coordinator role, or in a HR role with a focus on training
  • Passionate about personal development of self and others
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, along with strong Excel skills
  • Self-motivated, team player approach with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work on own initiative, with excellent coordination skills

Although not essential, experience gained within the manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
