The Role – Chemical Science Degree Apprentice (Materials Quality Control)
As a Chemical Science Degree Apprentice (Materials Quality Control), you will be working towards a BSc in Chemical Science through an apprenticeship program at Manchester Metropolitan University, which includes one day per week of online learning with occasional units taught face to face at the university.
Alongside your studies, you’ll be working as part of the Materials Quality Control Team, conducting precise and accurate routine analytical testing on Incoming Raw Materials, In-Process Control samples and Final Product material, involving both the use of traditional chemistry techniques and the use of a wide variety of analytical instrumentation (for example XRF, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, IC, Particle Size, Surface Area and Porosity instruments).
