HR Advisor

Héroux-Devtek is an international company specialising in the design, development, manufacture, integration, testing and repair and overhaul of landing gear and actuation systems and components for the Aerospace market. Founded in 1942, our business has a rich history which includes manufacturing the landing gear for the Apollo Lunar Module which landed on the moon’s surface in 1969.

The Role – HR Advisor

Reporting to the HR Director you’ll be a key member of the small, focused HR team. You will provide guidance and support to the functional leadership of the business as well as providing accurate and timely reporting on HR related statistics and data.

Your duties will include although will not be limited to:

  • Advising Line Managers on recruitment and selection
  • Reviewing and updating job descriptions
  • Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns as well as maintaining key metrics such as turnover and retention rates
  • Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants
  • Maintaining the corporate database and producing payroll reports
  • Providing administrative support to the Safety and Training Manager
  • Advising on long term sickness and liaising with Health and Safety and Occupational Health where needed
  • Advising and supporting Grievance and Disciplinary management

Our Requirements – HR Advisor

  • Proven experience working in a HR role
  • CIPD level 5 or a Degree in Human Resources (or similar)
  • Experience of maintaining and developing HR systems
  • Proven and demonstrable ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, team leaders and employees
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability organise, multi-task and plan workload against company deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivator able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to look for improvement in processes

Although not essential, experience in manufacturing and/or aviation is desirable.

The Package

As a HR Advisor, you’ll receive a competitive salary and benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension scheme, and salary sacrifice healthcare scheme.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm and Friday, 8am to 1pm (8am to 4:30pm one in every four Fridays). The successful applicant will work from our company office in Runcorn (Cheshire).
