Assistant Credit Controller

The Role – Assistant Credit Controller

This is an exciting, varied position that will be approximately 50% credit control and 50% finance administrative duties. You’ll play a key role in supporting a busy Finance team, and with the support of the Accounts Receivable Manager you’ll assist with the daily reporting of financial figures as well as other business critical tasks, such as assessing the creditworthiness of existing and new customers.

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Carrying out customer debt recovery tasks
  • Completing period end reporting and period end journal postings
  • Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • SOX reporting
  • Supporting the interim and year end audits to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process
  • Supporting the Accounts Receivable Manager with ad hoc tasks

Our Requirements – Assistant Credit Controller

  • Proven experience gained within an office administration role
  • Timely and accurate data entry skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Ability to use own initiative, prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Although not essential, experience of accounts receivable and working knowledge of SAP / S4 HANA would be advantageous.

The Package

As an Assistant Credit Controller, you will benefit from:

  • A salary in the region of £20,000 to £23,000, with the level dependent on experience
  • Study package (if required)

You will be employed on a permanent contract, working predominantly Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Flexibility with working hours will be required due to the nature of the role.
