Service and Support Engineer (Automation) – Hybrid working, with option to work from home up to 2 days per week combined with working at our offices in Runcorn.

The Role – Service and Support Engineer (Automation)

Reporting to a Customer Centric Team Leader, your role as Service and Support Engineer will be to provide technical and preventative support to our clients based both onshore and offshore around the UK. For each project working across the safety lifecycle your remit will include:

  • Making preventative maintenance visits to clients and carrying out specialist checks
  • Providing on-call services to support faults and breakdowns 
  • Making minor software and hardware modifications against Management of Changes processes
  • Providing technical specifications to procurement and supervising suppliers
  • Writing project documentation for clients
  • Conducting internal testing for modifications
  • Executing or leading Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests, including site transitions and installations
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of work at site
  • Formalising project closures

You will be based at our Runcorn offices (with option to partly work from home), however there will be travel to customer sites across the UK, offshore and overseas as required for each project.

Our Requirements - Service and Support Engineer (Automation)

  • Experience in a similar role gained within either oil and gas, petrochemical, or an industrial automation environment
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Highly motivated and flexible approach, able to work both with minimal supervision and as an effective team player
  • Confident communicator with a professional manner

Although not essential, a degree qualification in an engineering or process related subject would be highly advantageous. Applicants with Offshore certificates are highly desired, however full training can be provided.
