Warehouse Quality Control Auditor

We have been manufacturing and selling high quality timber products for thirty-five years across several business streams including Zest 4 Leisure, P&A Pallets & Packaging and The Woodworks Garden Centre and Café and each one is dedicated to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and top-quality products.

This Quality Control Auditor Role

Reporting to the Operations and Systems Improvement Controller, you will take ownership of the quality control process within our Zest 4 Leisure Warehouse Distribution Centre in Saltney, conducting visual quality assessments of incoming stock and outgoing orders to ensure our quality standards are met.

Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

• Assisting with the development of quality audit controls and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in accordance with established internal quality standards
• Carrying out sampled daily audit inspections of both incoming goods and picked orders
• Reviewing loading procedures to ensure quality controls are effective
• Preparing and presenting weekly audit reports on Excel, highlighting issues and recommending changes to current processes
• Analysing complaints data, identifying patterns, recurring issues and areas that require targeted investigation to inform our overall complaints and returns processes
• Conducting investigations when issues of quality and/or non-conformance arise, and reporting findings with suggestions for improvement
• Actively participating in wider team activity to identify process improvements, improve efficiencies and raise standards across the warehouse operation

Requirements for this Quality Control Auditor vacancy

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy learning and sharing knowledge with others and relish setting up processes that are easy for others to maintain and follow.  Along with this, you will have:

• Proven experience of working in, and a good understanding of, a warehouse environment
• Demonstrable experience of troubleshooting problems and resolving issues effectively in collaboration with others
• An understanding of the importance of quality control in a warehouse environment
• A good level of IT literacy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Logical and methodical approach to work and ability to remain calm under pressure

Although not essential, experience of stock and/or quality control in a warehouse environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of SAP Business One or a similar ERP system.
