Our Company

The team at CAFgas have over 20 years’ experience in the Gas Engineer industry, and we’re experts in our field. We work primarily in residential properties and small commercial premises, supporting with all aspects of central heating installation, maintenance, and repair. 

We recently relaunched this year as a community interest company (CIC), meaning that all CAFgas CIC profits generated by your work will now go to our in-house community organisation, Nanny Biscuit. Through this organisation, we empower those individuals across North Wales and Cheshire who suffer with mental health, isolation, and disability, and we support ex-forces in need of our help. In fact, we delivered over 44,000 meals to those who need it most during the Covid pandemic in the last 19 months.

The Role – Gas Engineer

Working across Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, Chester and The Wirral, the main focus of your time will be installing domestic boiler systems including straight boiler swaps, conversions, and full systems. You will also service and repair systems when required. You’ll often work as part of a team, pairing up with another Engineer.

You’ll help shape the direction of our organisation and will bring your personal drive to help guide and support new employees, leading to promotions in the future as we expand.

The Package

  • Salary in the region of £35,000 to £37,000 per year, level depending on experience
  • Permanent contract, with full time hours working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, some Saturday work will occasionally be required, and overtime will be available as our company grows
  • A company van for travel between sites, with a fuel card provided
  • 25 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays

Our Requirements - Gas Engineer

  • Proven experience gained installing boilers including superb knowledge of S and Y plans
  • Trained and qualified in CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, and HTR1, and Gas Safe registered
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work in a clean, safe manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and although not essential some experience leading a team of people would be advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously with little direction and evaluate quotations, with excellent onsite problem-solving abilities
  • Superb customer service skills, with desire to help others
