Office Administrator – Maternity Cover (Fixed term contract until September 2021)

Northwood Recycling Ltd provides wastepaper management solutions to Northwood associated companies. We ensure that reclaimed paper is taken care of legally, diverting over 100,000 tonnes per year of recovered fibre back into the raw material supply chain. Northwood Recycling is part of Northwood Group, a UK based family-owned group of companies that provide the manufacturing, supply and transportation of away-from-home (AfH) professional paper hygiene products.

What will the role of Office Administrator entail?

With guidance from the Operations Support Assistants, as the Office Administrator you will provide administrative support for the Northwood Recycling supply chain and finance processes, undertaking a varied role which bridges operations and finance. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Creating purchase orders and goods receipts
  • Raising customer invoices and appraising supplier haulage invoices
  • Keeping accurate records of all invoices, POs and GRs in SAP
  • Advising delivery weights to suppliers
  • Communicating information to suppliers in a reliable and timely manner
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is completed on an accurate and timely basis
  • Remaining up to date with all scanning

The package

As the Office Administrator, you’ll benefit from:

  • A salary in the region of £18,000 to £20,000 (pro rata), with the level dependent on experience
  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays

You’ll work from our offices in Disley (SK12 2HW), be employed on a fixed term contract until September 2021, and work Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm.

What will I need to be considered for this Office Administrator vacancy?

  • Proven administration skills gained within a busy office environment
  • The ability to switch between tasks as priorities change
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Accurate and timely data entry skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport would be desirable due to rural location of office
