Accounts Payable Administrator

The Package

As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will benefit from:

  • A salary up to £23,000, with the level dependent on experience

You will be employed on a permanent contract, working predominantly Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Flexibility with working hours will be required due to the nature of the role.

The Role – Accounts Payable Administrator

Reporting to the Finance Manager, as an Accounts Payable Administrator you will be integral to the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase ledger transactions, working to strict deadlines whilst remaining accurate and efficient.

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Processing a high volume of purchase invoices
  • Requesting and reviewing supplier statements
  • Generating BACS payments to suppliers
  • Issuing cheques to suppliers
  • Ensuring that internal controls are compiled timely and fully documented
  • Assisting external auditors with year-end requirements

Our Requirements – Accounts Payable Administrator

  • Experience gained in an office administration role
  • Timely and accurate data entry skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Ability to use own initiative, prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with suppliers

Although not essential, experience of purchase ledger / accounts payable and working knowledge of SAP / S4 HANA would be advantageous.
