Hospitality General Manager – Independent Living

Kingsdale Group manages property on behalf of private residential leaseholders, the majority of whom are retired homeowners. Our aim is that every development we manage is attractively presented, well maintained and staffed by friendly, helpful and efficient people. We want each development that we manage to be a source of pride to those who live there.

Brook Court is a retirement development comprising of 55 apartments located in a quiet residential area of Bromsgrove. The court facilities include a spacious Owners lounge, landscaped gardens, restaurant, hobbies room and guest suite. There is a busy social programme including coffee mornings, afternoon tea, film club, bingo, wine club, themed evenings and local entertainers. Brook Court is located just off the A38, with great links to the M5 and M42.

What will this role of Hospitality General Manager entail?

As the General Manager of Brook Court, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the high-quality apartment owners receive the highest levels of customer service, and that their well-being is always prioritised.  

You’ll manage a team of up to 18, including 5 Duty Managers, of whom you’ll use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead on a day to day basis. You’ll be responsible for a budget and for the provision of a high-quality catering service and an interesting social calendar, and for ensuring building maintenance is taken care of.

What will I need to be considered for this Hospitality General Manager role?

  • Proven managerial experience, ideally gained within the hotel / hospitality sector
  • Ability to remain calm in an ever-changing environment
  • Passion for delivering the highest standards of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

What will I receive in return?

As the General Manager of Brook Court, you’ll receive a salary of £27,661, along with an enhanced pension scheme.

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday however some weekend work may be required.
