Residential Property Manager

Superb opportunity for a professional with experience in residential property who is looking to further their knowledge and develop their career as part of an ambitious business with a close-knit team.

The Company

Heaton Property is an award-winning property agency operating from two offices, with the main office based in Heaton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne. We specialise in providing rental property for professionals within Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas, offering services including residential lettings and property management, block management, property investment and refurbishments to clients with property in the region.

The Residential Property Manager Role

As a Residential Property Manager, you’ll be involved in the property management side of our growing company, and will be expected to learn about, understand and assist the team with the day to day running of the company and our goals.

Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Being the primary contact for landlord and tenants, resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Managing correspondence, repairs, compliance, legal notices and contracts
  • Logging information into our property management software
  • Dealing with clients both face to face and over the phone

We encourage our team to work towards industry qualifications, so there will be opportunity for you to study and gain qualifications, which will be fully funded and bespoke to suit. As you grow and develop within the role, we anticipate you will gradually progress, taking on more scope and responsibility.

You’ll be working as part of the Heaton Property Team based within our Heaton Road office in Newcastle upon Tyne, although you will often be out of the office too.

To be considered for this Residential Property Manager role, you will have:

  • Proven experience with residential property management, with knowledge of tenancy agreements, contract law etc, and a desire to progress your career and develop knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong and friendly personality and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Keen eye for detail
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Full UK driving licence to travel to managed properties and sites as required

The Package

You will be employed on a permanent contract working 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 5pm on Friday. You will also be required to work one Saturday per month, 10am to 2pm.

You’ll benefit from a starting salary in the region of £19,250 to £25,000, with the level dependent on experience, and be part of a small, close-knit team who enjoy regular social events together.

You will also have access to a company car, however mileage expenses will be paid by the company if you would prefer to use your own vehicle.
