Kitchen Porter

40 hours per week. Free accommodation / live-in available.

Nestled within Lord Bath’s magnificent Longleat Estate in the village of Horningsham, The Bath Arms (part of the Longleat Enterprises group) is a quintessential country pub and restaurant with 17 quirky bedrooms located in the main property and adjoining annex. Our AA-rosette award-winning gastro pub offers a great British menu filled with home grown, traditional food, which the talented team of Chefs are proud to serve.

Offering a friendly, relaxed environment from which to enjoy Longleat’s attractions, our estate also serves as a superb base to enjoy the rest of the West Country.

What will this role of Kitchen Porter entail?

As the Kitchen Porter, you will join our busy Kitchen Team, assisting with the delivery of excellent quality food items. You will ensure the kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently, and that all food produced is in line with agreed recipes and standards. You’ll be passionate about working with the finest, freshest ingredients and take an organised approach to prioritising effectively.

You will be assisting our chefs with the smooth operation of the kitchen, and your duties will include food preparation, cleaning and washing up – the kitchen can’t function without our Kitchen Porters, so you’ll be a highly valued member of the team.  

What will I need to be considered for this Kitchen Porter vacancy?

  • A positive, can do attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Be focused on delivering outstanding quality and service
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be an exceptional team player

Contract: Fixed term contract until 5th January 2020. 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. Please note, due to the nature of the business evenings and weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.
