Planning and Logistics Administrator

Superb opportunity for a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication and negotiation skills, to join a well-established family run business where your skills and efforts will be appreciated and rewarded.

As the Planning and Logistics Administrator, you’ll receive a salary of up to £20,000, with potential for more dependent on your experience, along with plenty of opportunities to progress your career.

Since 1948, Clifford Jones Timber has provided high quality timber products for the construction of industrial, commercial and domestic landscapes, and we are now the UK’s largest manufacturer of machine round timber fence posts and outdoor playground equipment.

The Planning and Logistics Administrator Role

As the Planning and Logistics Administrator, you’ll join a fantastic team of employees based within our office in Ruthin, North Wales, where you’ll provide accurate and timely administrative support. This is a varied, hands on role where you will work as part of our Reception Team, with duties that will include, although not be limited to:

  • Answering inbound telephone calls and emails and directing to the right department
  • Dealing with the timber wagons that come on site and filling out the necessary paperwork
  • Keeping spreadsheets up to date and processing relevant information
  • Dealing with hauliers and couriers, and confidently negotiating pricing
  • Analysing overall transport costs against sales orders and providing accurate reports
  • Assisting customers face to face when required

What will I need to be considered for one of this Planning and Logistics Administrator role?

  • Proven experience gained within an office-based administration role, ideally with experience / knowledge of logistics
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Timely and accurate data entry skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively
  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, with full time hours between Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend and out of hours work may be required to accommodate business needs.

We’re based in Ruthin (Denbighshire, North Wales), with good road links for commute from Wrexham, Mold and St Asaph.
