Sales Manager

Rewarding opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to develop and lead a small Sales Team, within our vibrant and growing business.

We offer a complete project lifecycle service, from initial design concept and specification through to software and hardware delivery, commissioning, and support and maintenance.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our team and help propel our growth strategy, as we continue with our ambitious plans.

The Sales Manager role

Reporting to the Managing Director, as the Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering the Cetix sales plan. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Developing relationships with existing customers to increase satisfaction and win business
  • Identifying and winning new customers in order to expand breadth and diversity of clients
  • Setting sales targets for the whole sales team in line with the sales plan and objectives
  • Developing and implementing highly effective systems, monitors and processes to help the Sales Team improve performance
  • Supporting the Bid Team with the preparation of bids, ensuring customer needs, perceptions, concerns, preferences and priorities inform each tender to allow offers to be made
  • Visiting client sites as appropriate for meetings

What will I need to be considered for this Sales Manager vacancy?

You’ll be energetic and have a strong work ethic, with a manner that engages people, and be someone who leads from the front and can inspire trust and enthusiasm in customers and colleagues.

You will also have:

  • A career built on long term customer relationship development gained as either a sales manager, account manager, business development manager, or in technical sales
  • Understanding of UK B2B technical sales to energy and utilities or other corporate industrial sectors
  • An excellent appreciation of complex technical solution selling for both Engineering Design and Delivery Projects and Technical Services such as Support and Consultancy
  • Proven track record of making sales plans and hitting targets to achieve business objectives
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques and sales management processes and systems
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead and manage a high performing sales team
  • Commercial awareness, with an understanding and recognition of risk factors from both client and supplier viewpoints
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel as required

The Package

As the Sales Manager, you’ll receive a salary in the region of £50,000 to £75,000, with the level dependent on experience. You will also benefit from a pension scheme, health insurance, and death in service cover as part of generous benefits package.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working full time hours between Monday to Friday.

Location: Based out of the office in Rotherham (South Yorkshire), 10 minutes from M1 or M18.
