Who will I be working with?

Established in 1988, Lyan Packaging Supplies is a general packaging company based in Wrexham, North Wales, supplying customers across the UK, from the highlands of Scotland through to Kent and Devon. We are an independent, family run business with a strong culture of care for both our customers and our employees.

We are continually growing and developing and have recently extended our warehouse and invested in new box making machinery. We’re also very proud to have been accredited Investors in People, a testament to the training and career development opportunities we make available to all.

What will this role of Administration Assistant entail?

As an Administration Assistant, you’ll enjoy a varied role in which you can take full advantage of your fantastic coordination and organisational skills. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Completing sales and purchase order processing using Sage 50cloud (full training provided)
  • Managing “doorstep sales” by taking the customer order, finding the appropriate stock and completing the payment transaction using a card machine
  • Managing customer queries, both over the phone and via email
  • Answering incoming calls and relaying through to the relevant team member
  • Greeting visitors in a professional and friendly manner

What will I need to be considered for this Administration Assistant role?

  • Excellent work ethic, with a willingness to learn and progress with the business
  • Good numeracy and literacy
  • IT literate, with excellent attention to detail and accurate and timely typing skills
  • Confident telephone manner, with strong communication skills
  • The ability to make a fantastic cup of tea!

Although not essential, previous experience within office administration along with a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel is advantageous for this role.

What will I receive in return?

As an Administration Assistant, you’ll receive a salary of £18,000 to £20,000 (level dependent on experience and qualifications), along with a range of additional benefits including:

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to 2pm.
