Asset Management / Building Surveyor

Who will I be working with?

North Wales Housing Association is an ambitious social enterprise which provides homes and delivers services to over 2,500 households across North Wales. What will the role of Asset Management / Building Surveyor entail?

Reporting to the Asset and Facilities Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing an effective property surveying service, including day to day maintenance management, void management, Physical Adaptation Grant work, facilities management, service charges, major works (Planned works) and complex repair projects on your allocated area of operation. Duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Managing the day to day maintenance of the Association’s housing stock
  • Ensuring that the properties are maintained in accordance with the Association’s guidelines and the requirements of Welsh Government
  • Identifying structural defects, and conducting specialised building surveying works
  • Preparing and issuing works specifications and tender documentation

What will I need in order to be considered for this Asset Management / Building Surveyor role?

  • Degree qualification in Construction, or HNC/HTEC Certificate in Building Studies (e.g. Construction) / Building Surveying or C & G Certificate in Building Studies
  • Ability to hold everyday conversations in Welsh, in relation to the role
  • Ability to produce accurate high-quality work
  • Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training
  • Full, clean driving licence and the availability of a vehicle for work purposes

What will I receive in return?

Salary: £31,013 per annum

Contracted hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Location: Based in either Bangor or Llandudno Junction (North Wales)

Contract type: 12-month fixed term contract
