Payroll Assistant – hybrid working option, with choice to combine working from home up to 3 days per week with working from the offices in Aylesbury.

The Role – Payroll Assistant

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, as Payroll Assistant you will ensure all data is inputted into the payroll system and that employees are paid correctly and accurately. Your duties will include:

  • Inputting timesheets
  • Processing staff changes (salary and pension changes, voluntary deductions)
  • Processing new starters and leavers (including P45 and P46 documentation)
  • Supporting employee and external payroll queries
  • Processing and paying employee mileage and overtime sheets
  • Monitoring long-term sick, manually calculating SSP / SMP
  • Completing requests for employee information from mortgage suppliers, solicitors, etc.
  • Completing authority checks
  • Producing reports 

Our Requirements – Payroll Assistant

  • Experience gained in a similar payroll position  
  • Good Excel and Word skills
  • Superb communication and customer service skills

Although not essential, a CIPP qualification would be highly advantageous.
