Business Development Manager (Fire and security systems servicing solutions)

Rewarding opportunity with a combination of working from home and field-based activity supporting existing and prospective commercial clients in Kidderminster and surrounding areas.

The Package

  • A starting salary in the region of £25,000 to £28,000 with the level based on experience, plus an attractive bonus package
  • Car allowance and expenses paid
  • Laptop and mobile phone
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day for each year of service (capped at 25 days)
  • Additional day off for your birthday
  • Permanent contract with full time hours working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

The Role – Business Development Manager

Working as part of the Kidderminster branch team, as the Business Development Manager you will be selling maintenance contracts to prospective commercial customers in Kidderminster and surrounding areas, providing a package of support for their fire and security systems including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lighting, access control, intruder alarms and CCTV.

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Taking full management responsibility for driving sustainable growth
  • Ensuring the Kidderminster branch has a servicing sales forecast
  • Reporting weekly sales activity to the Branch Director
  • Managing the key account list to maximise sales opportunities and profit
  • Identifying opportunities to get new business with your own sales cold-calling activity
  • Developing relationships and taking a hands-on approach by acting as the face of the business

The Requirements – Business Development Manager

  • Proven experience in new business sales
  • Strong commercial acumen and results driven with determination and hunger to succeed
  • Ability to work towards achieving monthly sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory DBS and BS7858 checks.

Although not essential, experience gained within the fire and/or security industry would be advantageous.
