Management Accountant – Option of either full or part time hours (minimum of 30 hours per week).

The Company

Established since 2004, Pharma Group Holdings Ltd is comprised of three separate businesses, with a combined turnover of £10m. We manufacture and sell health and wellbeing products for humans and pets and provide logistics and fulfilment services for third parties in the Health, Cosmetics and Food sectors.

Our team of approximately 25 colleagues work from our head office on the Conwy Morfa Enterprise Park, and at our sites in Abergele and Anglesey. Our scope of activity is increasing through expansion in our core sectors, and via investment in external business opportunities that are synergistic to our growth aspirations.

The Role – Management Accountant

Working as part of the Management team, as Management Accountant you will be responsible for financial matters within our growing business while undertaking a varied, hands-on role. Your duties will range from bookkeeping, through to developing strategic plans to support future growth, including:  

  • Producing timely and accurate financial information including annual budgets and monthly management accounts
  • Conducting long term financial strategy planning, including preparing business plans and financial projection reports with the Operations Team
  • Working alongside the Management Team to establish pricing policies
  • Monitoring gross margins, controlling overhead costs and projecting and monitoring cashflow
  • Liaising with external organisations to submit periodic VAT returns, monthly PAYE / NI settlements, annual insurance renewals etc.

Our Requirements – Management Accountant

  • Either be a part or fully qualified Accountant and able to demonstrate the ability to add value combined with ambition to grow with the business, or be qualified through experience in a financial management position
  • Desire to drive the business forward and get involved with strategic decision making
  • Confident communicator, with strong reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Ability to take responsibility for own workload
  • Excellent computer skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Although not essential, experience using ERP systems would be highly advantageous (as our main work is contract packing, warehousing, and fulfilment).

The Package

  • Permanent contract, with the option of either part-time (minimum of 30 hours per week) or full-time hours depending on your preference, to be agreed at interview stage
  • Starting salary in the region of £35,000 to £42,000 (pro rata if part time) depending on qualifications, experience, and ability to add value plus profit related bonus
  • Working from our offices in either Conwy or Anglesey (North Wales)
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
