Assistant IT Manager

What will this role of Assistant IT Manager entail?

As the Assistant IT Manager you’ll play a key role in supporting Longleat’s customers, business processes, computers, network and telecommunications infrastructure, and data security systems. Managing the day to day running of the IT Department in conjunction with the IT Manager, your duties will include although not be limited to:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a wide range of IT projects
  • Overseeing the IT Support Team, providing technical support whilst analysing and developing business processes
  • Providing IT troubleshooting, advice and support relating to software selection, implementation, computer equipment and multimedia
  • Responding to breakdowns and managing the EPOS system
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving technical hardware faults

What will I need to be considered for this Assistant IT Manager vacancy?

  • Proven experience within an IT support role, ideally gained within the retail or leisure industry
  • Advanced technical ability to manage and support operating systems, applications and network software and the ability to install, maintain and upgrade all hardware
  • Good networking skills and knowledge of Windows Servers and Active Directory maintenance and user management (setting permissions, setting up groups, resetting passwords etc)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

What will I receive in return?

You will receive a salary circa £27,500, in addition to a range of attractive benefits including; 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, complimentary tickets to Longleat and Cheddar Gorge and Caves, discounts on food and beverages and retail merchandise, along with life assurance cover and more perks.

Contract Type: Permanent, working 37.5 hours per week 5 days out of 7. Predominantly, your working hours will be 9am to 5.15pm – during peak season, your earliest start time will be 7am and latest finish 9pm. Please note, due to the nature of the business evenings and weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.

Location: Longleat (Warminster, Wiltshire)
