Our Company

Less Common Metals (LCM) is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of complex alloy systems and metals, specialising in those based on rare earth elements. With many years’ experience in the production of materials to tight compositional tolerances and controlled microstructures, we take a highly flexible and innovative approach to a wide range of material requirements.

  • Operating plant and equipment to achieve targeted levels of production
  • Ensuring all products / materials within the production areas are clearly identified, packaged, and labelled correctly
  • Providing analysis samples of metals / alloys to the Laboratory

  • Maintaining awareness of levels of production related consumables and raw material quality
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment to minimise risk of product contamination

Our Requirements – Production Operator

  • Experience gained in a hands-on role within a heavy industrial or engineering environment
  • Exceptional literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of the importance of working to high standards of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety stewardship

  • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 25 days after 3 years)
