Production Operative

Established for over 30 years, Pyroguard, which is part of the Technical Fire Safety Group, is the world's leading independent provider of fire safety glass for Steel, Aluminium and Timber applications.

With production facilities based in both the UK and France, and strategically positioned sales locations covering the UK & Ireland, France, The Netherlands, Scandinavia, Iberia, Germany and the Middle East, Pyroguard is strongly positioned to manufacture and supply the widest range of certified fire safety glass products on a global scale.

Our range of Pyroguard fire resistant glass, is manufactured at our site in Haydock.

The Role – Production Operative

As a Production Operative you will receive full training that will enable you to undertake a range of manufacturing processes to produce high quality finished products.

You will also assist with a variety of warehouse tasks such as receiving and moving raw materials, loading heavy palletised goods and dispatching customer orders.

As a Production Operative, you will benefit from:

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week on a weekly rotational shift pattern. Early shifts are 6am to 2:15pm Monday to Friday, and late shifts consist of 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 8pm on Fridays. Flexibility will be required to work some early Saturday shifts when necessary.

Our Requirements – Production Operative

  • Relevant experience within a production / manufacturing environment, with experience of handling heavy palletised goods
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

Although not essential, a valid forklift licence and / or an overhead crane certificate would be highly advantageous, as would experience within the glass manufacturing industry.
