IT Manager

Héroux-Devtek is an international company specialising in the design, development, manufacture, integration, testing and repair and overhaul of landing gear and actuation systems and components for the Aerospace market. Founded in 1942, the business has a rich history which includes manufacturing the landing gear for the Apollo Lunar Module which landed on the moon’s surface in 1969.

What will this role of IT Manager entail?

Reporting to the Corporate IT Director, as the UK IT Manager your responsibilities will be to manage constant change through innovation; provide a service that ensures the security, reliability and integrity of information systems; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of procedures through integrated IT solutions and advice; manage, monitor and prepare the UK IT budget in partnership with the Corporate IT Director; and act as the IT point of contact for any IT issues and request for improvement.

As the IT Manager supporting three sites in the UK, your duties will be to:

  • Manage, organise and coordinate the team of onsite technicians and UK subcontractors
  • Ensure the management, organisation, coordination and development of the IT team members
  • Assist and support users in their operations
  • Ensure the availability of information systems and the IT infrastructure
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and applications
  • Work in collaboration with North America ERP and Infrastructure teams
  • Manage, evaluate and implement change request
  • Plan and support the implementation of improvements
  • Procure equipment and computer software

What will I need to be considered for this IT Manager vacancy?

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager along with knowledge of ERP systems
  • Good IT analysis and project management skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Brilliant leadership skills
  • Experience providing system user support
  • Superb time management and decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal, presentation and listening communication skills

Working primarily from the UK head office in Runcorn, you will be employed on a permanent contract, working Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm and Friday 8am to 1:00pm.
