Train Presentation Deputy / Team Leader (Cleaner)

If you take pride in your work, this is a superb opportunity to be part of our busy professional team within our Crewe depot, working an average of 38 hours per week, from 6:30pm to 5.30am on a 4 on, 4 off shift roster.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, with a pay rate of £9.94 per hour (equivalent to £19,649.80 per year for an average of 38 hours per week), with great additional benefits including:

What will I be doing as a Train Presentation Deputy / Team Leader (Cleaner)?

As a Train Presentation Deputy / Team Leader (Cleaner), you’ll make sure that trains delivered for service are clean, safe and meet client expectations. Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading a team of Train Presentation Operatives ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Producing reports of work carried out or actions taken as required
  • Being responsible for performance monitoring of Train Presentation Operatives throughout the employment life cycle such as probation period management, one to one meetings and annual performance reviews
  • Monitoring and ensuring that the cleaning service requirements of the client are met
  • Preparing and ensuring the cleaning kits and equipment are available / stocked and accounted for at the start and end of each shift
  • Supporting the team in completing train presentation duties such as cleaning interior doors, windows and tables, vacuuming and litter removal

What will I need to be considered for this Train Presentation Deputy / Team Leader (Cleaner)?

  • Proven experience working as a cleaner, ideally within a commercial / industrial environment
  • Experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Knowledge and understanding of COSHH
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a small team and on your own
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude
