Office Administrator

Northwood Recycling Ltd provides wastepaper management solutions to Northwood associated companies. We ensure that reclaimed paper is taken care of legally, diverting over 100,000 tonnes per year of recovered fibre back into the raw material supply chain. Northwood Recycling is part of Northwood Group, a UK based family owned group of companies that provide the manufacturing, supply and transportation of away-from-home (AfH) professional paper hygiene products.

What will the role of Office Administrator entail?

Under the guidance of the Operations Co-ordinator, as an Office Administrator you will have involvement in the end-to-end Northwood Recycling supply chain, supporting logistics and administration requirements for the company’s trading activities. Your duties will include:

  • Arranging freight and the associated necessary paperwork
  • Liaising with customers to schedule deliveries
  • Providing weight advice to suppliers and gathering weight advice from customers
  • Recording weight information on spreadsheets and load sheets
  • Recording details of trading transactions for management information, accounts payable and sales invoicing purposes
  • Raising sales invoices for internal customers at Northwood Tissue
  • Raising internal sales invoices on a daily basis for the previous working day
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is completed on an accurate and timely basis
  • Communicating information to suppliers and customers in a reliable and timely manner
  • Processing load sheet updates
  • Preparing refreshments and catering supplies for meetings
  • Providing administration support to the companies and employees within the Group 

What will I need to be considered for this Office Administrator vacancy?

  • Proven administration skills in a busy office environment
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport would be desirable due to rural location of office

What will I receive in return?

As an Office Administrator, you’ll receive a salary up to £18,000 per annum plus a range of attractive benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension, and life assurance.

You will be employed on a permanent contract, working Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Location: Disley (SK12 2HW)
