Test and Maintenance Engineer

IQD Frequency Products Ltd has been providing electronic components for time and frequency control for over 45 years. We are based in the UK but support customers across the world. Four years ago, IQD became part of the Wurth eiSos group who supply a large range of electronic components. The eiSos group includes more than 7,300 employees and has an active sales team based in every country in the world.

The Role – Test and Maintenance Engineer

As a Test and Maintenance Engineer, you will join a small, highly experienced team based at our Crewkerne (Somerset) office. You’ll bring your existing understanding of electronics / mechanical engineering and receive the training and support you need you to effectively support the team.

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Maintaining electronic test and measurement equipment
  • Organising on-site calibrations
  • Managing external contractors for installation and repair of equipment
  • Analysing test results
  • Supporting test team with day-to-day issues

Our Requirements – Test and Maintenance Engineer

  • Knowledge of / keen interest in electronics, either gained through an electronics or engineering qualification or in a similar role
  • IT savvy, and confident using software packages such as Microsoft Office
  • Keen to undertake training to understand a wide variety of specialist software packages and software coding used
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Although not essential as full training will be provided, some experience as a mechanical engineer or experience gained within a similar role based in a test laboratory would be highly advantageous.
