Finish Profile Bench Operator

Héroux-Devtek is an international company specialising in the design, development, manufacture, integration, testing and repair and overhaul of landing gear and actuation systems and components for the Aerospace market.

The Role – Finish Profile Bench Operator

Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Finish Profile Bench Operator you will profile finish complex aerospace landing gear. Your main duties will be:

• Using air operated hand grinding and hand tapping equipment, working to close tolerances
• Interpreting engineering drawings
• Recording of quantities and time taken, using company systems
• Maintaining controlled standard operating procedures to surface finishing and geometry
• Working closely with the production supervisor to maximise the production schedule and ensuring parts conform to exacting standards and finish drawings
• Managing production changes and proactively working with the department team

Our Requirements – Finish Profile Bench Operator

• Bench profiling experience
• Ability to operate a variety of air operated hand tools and measuring equipment
• Computer literate to respond to emails etc.
• Good eye for detail
• Due to the lifting required within the role, a good level of physical fitness

Although not essential, experience working in a close tolerance Aerospace environment is desirable.
