Maintenance Planning Coordinator (Mechanical and electrical plant and equipment)

The Role - Maintenance Planning Coordinator

As the Maintenance Planning Coordinator, you’ll work alongside the Engineering Team and Engineering Manager to ensure the site runs at its optimum levels.

You’ll take the lead on implementing and running CMMS systems and coordinating the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule, with duties to include, although not be limited to:

  • Planning maintenance tasks for process machinery, including rolling mills, slitters and smelting equipment and site facilities equipment including lighting, heating, LEV, cooling equipment and cranes
  • Deriving and building a spare parts database for plant and equipment
  • Creating maintenance operating procedures, on topics such as front-line maintenance, calibration, and overhaul procedures
  • Arranging, inducting, and coordinating contractors for maintenance tasks
  • Creating equipment history logs, drawing packs, spare part lists and safety documentation including CE marking and critical equipment safety inspections

Our Requirements - Maintenance Planning Coordinator

  • Proven experience working with maintenance software within a manufacturing environment
  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing / continuous improvement techniques
  • Excellent computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel 

Although not essential, PLC knowledge would be advantageous.

The Package

As Maintenance Planning Coordinator, you’ll benefit from:

  • Permanent contract working 40 hours per week, 7am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am to 11am on Friday
  • A pay rate of circa £16 per hour paid weekly (equivalent to £33,280 per annum), level dependent on experience
