Multi-Skilled Tradesperson / Joiner – Residential Property Maintenance.

The Company

Heaton Property Maintenance specialises in providing property maintenance services to rental property in Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. We also assist with day to day maintenance in blocks of flats and private estates as well as refurbishments for landlords with property in the region.

The Heaton Property Maintenance Team are a critical part of the Heaton Property business providing support to the multi-award-winning lettings and property management operation.

The Multi-Skilled Tradesperson / Joiner role

You will be committed towards ensuring the managed portfolio of properties are in good condition and safe for the occupiers, from kitchen fitting, installing door casings and fire doors through to general maintenance including plumbing, decorating, and minor electrical repairs. You will be called upon to complete a wide variety of tasks across our portfolio.

You will be working as part of the Heaton Property Maintenance team in and out of the office and home environments, dealing with clients and sub-contractors both face to face (whilst ensuring social distancing etiquette is followed) and on the phone. We are a multidisciplinary team and frequently adapt our roles with a culture of encouragement of training and expanding skills.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in property maintenance and joinery
• A full driving licence
• Good communication skills and a friendly personality
• A keen eye for detail
• Willing for a DBS check to be undertaken should you be offered employment

A company van and tools will be provided, but we are happy for you to use your own equipment if this is preferred.

In return:

You will be employed on a permanent contract working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and will receive a salary in the region of £20,250 to £26,000, with the level dependent on experience.
