Maintenance Person – Luxury retirement living development

Part time, 20 hours per week. £10 per hour.

Adlington Management Services (AMS) is an innovative specialist manager of high-quality retirement accommodation with care, typically comprising of multi-storey privately owned apartments. The company is part of the multi-award-winning developer Adlington, which is part of the respected Gladman Group with over 30 years of development experience.

Exclusively for the over 55s, The Sailings is comprised of 55 luxury retirement apartments located in the charming seaside town of Southport.

All of the luxurious apartments benefit from their own balcony or patio and owners will enjoy the use of a stylish lounge, table service restaurant serving breakfast and lunch daily, activities studio, spa suite, hairdressing salon and an en-suite guest room. The development is easily accessed by car, with great road links to the A565.

What will this role of Maintenance Person entail?

As the Maintenance Person you’ll be responsible for the general maintenance of the development, including all upkeep duties required to ensure a safe and attractive environment is maintained for Homeowners, their families, staff and visitors.

You’ll perform planned preventative work and safety checks, as well as running repairs and supervising outside contractors. You’ll conduct routine inspections of the premises and equipment, including gardens and communal areas, ensuring they’re kept neat and tidy between the scheduled landscapers’ visit.

What will I need in order to be considered for this Maintenance Person role?

  • General housing and building maintenance experience, with good understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks
  • A professional presentation and attitude

What will I receive in return?

As the Maintenance Person you’ll receive a pay rate of £10 per hour (£10,400 per year for 20 hours per week), plus a range of benefits including 17 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays; 6% employer pension contributions.

You’ll be employed on a permanent, part time contract, working approximately 20 hours per week, with exact rota to be agreed upon interview and appointment.
