Quality Inspector

The Role – Quality Inspector

Reporting to the Quality Manager, as the Quality Inspector you will be working within an Engineering / Quality Team at the Nottingham site, liaising with CNC Machinists and performing; first off, in-process and final inspection of all products, including high precise aerospace parts (with a working tolerance within 0.005mm). Your role will require you to interpret specifications acquired from; sketches / drawings / models or similar documents, with duties to include:

  • Applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) on manufactured parts
  • Preparing non-conformance reports
  • Using standard hand-measuring instruments (i.e. micrometer, bore gauge, calipers, height gauge, etc.)
  • Verifying parts by carrying out dimensional, functional and visual inspections
  • Working on CMM machine / programming with PC-DMIS software

Our Requirements – Quality Inspector

  • Proven experience in a similar quality control or quality inspector role
  • Practical knowledge of ISO and AS Standards
  • Knowledge of CMM programming with PC-DMIS and ability to interpret CMM Reports
  • Strong blueprint / drawing reading and interpretation skills
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reports along with the ability to devise and plan corrective actions
  • Self-motivation and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
