Residential Support Worker (Condensed Rota)
At Aran Hall School we provide 52 week residential care with education to children and young people with a range of learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders, both with associated challenging behaviour.
The Role
You will join a team of experienced professionals and attend regular training sessions to ensure you have up to date knowledge to enable you to provide the highest quality of care. You will support the young people within the classroom and the home environment, giving academic support as well as teaching life skills like cooking and cleaning.
The position also involves planning and carrying out a range of activities to suit the interests of the children you care for. We expect all staff to be proactive and forward planning in this area to ensure the children have access to a wide range of hobbies.

- Salary: £20,491 - £22,753 pro rata (including weekend bonus) dependent on experience and qualifications
- Full time - working on a condensed rolling rota - shift pattern of either a 1 on - 2 off (repeat) basis, or 2 on - 4 off (repeat) basis. Shift hours 8am - 10pm (14 hours)

Essential Criteria
We are looking for people with a passion for working with children who have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not essential as we are able to offer the training and support required.
