Chance Glass Ltd is an independent and well-established specialist engineering company, manufacturing glass components. The majority of products produced are based on tubing, but also include rod and discs. Most of the products are designed and produced to order and are of high quality and precise tolerances.

The production capability at Chance Glass is flexible and the company can respond to changing market demands and individual customer requirements. It has the in-house expertise to design, build and modify much of the equipment and tooling needed.

Working closely with and supporting the General Manager, as the Operations / Production Manager your initial remit will focus on managing the day to day manufacturing operations and process improvement.
You will take a hands-on approach to support and mentor the Production Team and lead by example, whilst developing your knowledge of all aspects of the company’s production function to build on existing systems, identifying areas for performance advancement to drive the company forwards.
Working closely with colleagues across the business you will seek areas for improvement to maximise business opportunities, inspire others, make recommendations, and lead change.
As you build your knowledge within the company and demonstrate ability, you will have the opportunity to progress to Deputy General Manager, with wider involvement across company operations, including increased customer interaction to identify requirements and tailored solutions and overcome challenges, and assist with the company’s product development for new and old.
What will I need in order to be considered for this Operations / Production Manager role?
As the Operations / Production Manager you will receive a starting salary in the region of £35,000 level dependent on experience, and you will have the opportunity for career and salary advancement as you progress.
Working from our facilities in Malvern Link near Worcester, you will be employed on a permanent contract working Monday to Friday 7:45am to 4:45pm.
