Part Time Facilities Manager – Permanent contract opportunity, working 25 hours per week with flexible working options available.

Kingsdale Group manages property on behalf of private residential leaseholders, the majority of whom are retired homeowners. The Ropewalk is a retirement development comprising of 31 apartments set in the picturesque town of Bradford-on-Avon (near Bath). The town centre is a short walk away, boasting a theatre, river, canal and good rail and bus services.

The Role – Facilities Manager

Reporting to the Regional Manager, as a Facilities Manager you will manage The Ropewalk development, ensuring the residence is safe and secure for owners. Your duties will include:

• Maintaining the building and gardens
• Arranging works and coordinating contractors, overseeing the work of tradespeople
• Ensuring the building is secure
• Ensuring equipment is in working order e.g., emergency alarm system, lighting, fire alarm system and arranging for tests to be carried out
• Establishing relationships with owners, offering advice, encouraging social activities, and monitoring their wellbeing

Our Requirements – Facilities Manager

Although welcome, no previous facilities management experience is required as a comprehensive induction with full training will be provided. You will need to bring:

• Experience working with the public with a high degree of empathy
• Excellent communication skills with a clear and articulate manner
• Diplomatic and professional with the ability to remain calm in an ever-changing environment
• Ability to build meaningful, professional relationships  

Although not essential, a First Aid Certificate and basic IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, would be advantageous. Due to the nature of the organisation and the role, this post is subject to a DBS check.

The Package

• Permanent contract
• Working 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day Monday to Friday. Flexibility is available with hours worked, and core hours are between 9am to 5pm
• 2-bedroom accommodation option available
• Salary from £17,500 (based on working 25 hours per week, £25,900 FTE)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
