Procurement Administrator

What will this role of Procurement Administrator entail?

Working in a small yet busy team, as a Procurement Administrator you will provide support to the Procurement Manager for all work relating to buying and improving PCCW Networks' buying delivery capability. You’ll be the point of contact for supplier related queries and support the general office infrastructure of the Procurement Team. Your duties will include although not be limited to:

  • Obtaining quotes for general kit and circuits
  • Ordering and arranging kit (with the correct kit on site) in a timely manner by liaising with project managers
  • Produce BR/PR for approval
  • Creation and management of PO’s
  • Delivery paperwork checks and goods receipting
  • Booking of hotels, trains and flights
  • Dealing with general public queries, project managers and suppliers
  • General ordering of office equipment/supplies
  • Maintaining the list of approved suppliers and costings
  • Timely updates of records to maintain accuracy of information
  • Escalating issues that cannot be resolved ensuring the requisite information relating to the issue is captured for ongoing resolution
  • Liaising with Operations / Field Engineers
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the office, ensuring compliance with the Visitor/Health and Safety policies
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required

What will I need in order to be considered for this Procurement Administrator role?

  • Proven office administration experience gained within a procurement environment
  • An understanding of the role a Procurement Team plays within a multinational business
  • Proactive approach to work, with the ability to work on your own initiative and meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced environment
  • Strong willed, with the ability to fit in well as part of a dynamic team

Based at the Stafford offices, you’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
