Chiltern Railways (owned by Arriva UK trains) are looking for superstars of the future and have multiple opportunities to earn while you learn. This role comes with world-class training as you work towards an apprenticeship qualification.
The Role – Trainee Train Driver
As a Trainee Train Driver, you will fully commit to the duration of a bespoke training course that will last approximately 3 to 4 months (paid). As part of this training course, you will initially be classroom based. You will then shadow a fully-qualified Train Driver, and vice versa. Once you are fully qualified you will drive our trains independently.
The courses begin on the 8th and 9th of September, and you must be available for these dates.
Our Requirements – Trainee Train Driver
- Due to the restrictions relating to licences, you must be over 20 and a half years of age
- Highly responsible, dependable, and punctual person
- Positive, inclusive, with a can-do attitude
- Live within a commutable distance (within 45 minutes) of either London Marylebone, Aylesbury, or Banbury depots
Our recruitment process involves a thorough psychometric profiling test. You must be willing to complete these assessments.
The Package
