In addition, Calder are also the UK’s leading specialist in lead engineering. The company designs, manufactures and installs radiation shielding and other products in the nuclear, medical and other markets.

The Process Operator Role

As a Process Operator you’ll be responsible for carrying out the production of the manufacturing process on a casting production cell, with full training provided. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Achieving the production targets set for the department on a daily basis
  • Highlighting and communicating faults which may cause production delay
  • Promoting and adhering to the company’s system and procedures at all times

What will I need to be considered for this Process Operator vacancy?

  • Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing / heavy engineering environment
  • A flexible approach to work and shift patterns

Although not essential, previous factory experience would be preferred.

The Package

As a Process Operator working standard hours, you’ll receive a pay rate of £9.52 per hour for the first 3 months, to be enhanced thereafter to £10.62 per hour.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday. However, we are looking for flexibility to work shifts as and when demand requires it to meet customer demand.
