Sales Engineer – Vacuum Sales Specialist

Home-based, travelling to sites across the South East of England

What will this role of Sales Engineer entail?

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle, from technical and commercial discussion through to quotations and after sales support, of the company’s complete portfolio of products throughout the South and South East of England. Benefitting from the support of the UK Sales Team, your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Promoting and selling company products to new and existing customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and guaranteed after-sales support
  • Obtaining business and meeting sales targets within agreed area
  • Reporting on customer activity and requirements and forecasting future sales potential
  • Liaising between the customer and supplier to match needs with proposals

What will I need in order to be considered for this Sales Engineer vacancy?

  • Proven experience within B2B technical sales, gained within a relevant scientific / engineering background
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a drive to succeed
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Full UK driving licence

What will I receive in return?

You will be part of an ambitious company where you’ll be given every opportunity to progress and develop as a Sales Engineer.

You’ll receive a base salary in the region of £40,000, level dependent on experience, with an attractive bonus scheme giving an OTE in the region of £50,000, company car, laptop and iPad, contributory pension scheme and a healthcare package.

Location: You will be based from home but 60% of your time will be spent travelling to customer sites across the South East of England, and to the Pfeiffer Vacuum office in Newport Pagnell. You will also be expected to travel regularly to sites in both Germany and France.
