Process Operator (Castings)

Permanent contract, working 36 hours over 3 shifts

The Role - Process Operator (Castings)

As a Process Operator, you’ll receive full training that will enable you to cast and create moulds to produce material for manufacture on your designated production cell, working as part of a team of up to 12 employees. You’ll achieve this by:

  • Ensuring all operating conditions are correct before commencing production
  • Achieving the production targets set for the department on a daily basis
  • Highlighting and communicating any minor faults which may arise and cause delay
  • Maintaining accurate records of production

The Package

  • A pay rate of £10.88 per hour (equivalent to a minimum of £20,367 per annum), plus a shift premium of £13.60 per hour
  • Overtime occasionally available

You’ll be based at our busy factory located on Sealand Road, on the outskirts of Chester City Centre, and you’ll be working 36 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern of either Day Shifts 6am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday, or Night Shifts 6pm to 6am Sunday to Tuesday.

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing / heavy engineering environment, ideally with experience of operating machinery
  • Be a team player with a flexible attitude, and a quality focused mindset
