Quality Assurance Engineer
Two roles are available for Quality Assurance Engineers to join Luxfer MEL Technologies on a full time, permanent basis.

What will these roles of Quality Assurance Engineer entail?
You will join the Quality Assurance Department as part of the team controlling and developing the quality management systems across Luxfer MEL Technologies, focused on either ‘Corrective Action / Preventative Action’ (CAPA) or ‘Audits’ side of the business.
As Quality Assurance Engineer (CAPA), you will take a lead role in planning, facilitating and managing activities related to ‘Corrective Action / Preventative Action’ across the global business. In this customer-focused role, you’ll track CAPA activities, complete assigned actions and update associated documentation. You’ll also perform audits of both raw material and subcontracted process suppliers, monitoring supplier performance and ensuring any associated CAPA’s are closed out. This role requires travel to Europe, the Far East and the USA.
As Quality Assurance Engineer (Audits), you will play a key role in planning, facilitating and managing activities related to internal auditing across the global business, coordinating audit teams and communicating audit findings to interested parties. You’ll track customer complaints, carry out investigations and complete ‘Root Cause Analysis’ reports. Travel is required to sites across the USA.
What will I need to be considered for these Quality Assurance Engineer vacancies?
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role, with experience of working within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Degree level qualification in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or related Science subject, with Quality Audit training
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and Quality Assurance tools
For the Quality Assurance Engineer (CAPA) role, you will need experience of utilising Quality Assurance tools related to CAPA methodology.
For the Quality Assurance Engineer (Audits) role, you will need experience of utilising Quality Assurance tools related to RCCA / CAR 8D methodology and proven experience in facilitating projects related to RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities.
What will I receive in return?
Salary: Up to £35,000, level dependent on experience and qualifications, plus great benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week.
Location: Swinton (Greater Manchester), with frequent international travel.
